Homemade Al Pesto Sauce
2 oz. olive oil
4 oz. half & half
4 oz. butter
4 oz. grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup minced parsley
2 cloves garlic, small and quartered
1 tsp dried or 1 Tbsp fresh sweet Basil
Boiled, drained pasta of choice, (spaghetti, vermicelli, gnocchi, etc…)
Cook Garlic in oil on low heat until done. Remove with slotted spoon. Add remaining ingredients and simmer, do not boil. Drain boiled pasta of choice and toss with sauce. Good with broiled steak, veal or chicken.
Variations:
Stalk layers of lasagna noodles, Al Pesto Sauce, veggies and cheeses; bake like Lasagna.
Use as Pizza sauce over pizza dough; top with cheeses; bake like pizza.
