1 cawan beras barli.
1.5 liter air (ikut suka kepekatan..kalau nak pekat boleh kurangkan).
- Gula batu secukup manis..kurang atau lebih manis terpulang pada anda.
- Bahan-Bahan Perasa seperti jus lemon, daun pudina dicarik-carik atau tambah dengan halwa labu kering. Mamak haji suka daun pandan saja.
CARA MEMASAK:

In saucepan combine, sugar, water and butter, bring to boil, stirring constantly. Cool slightly. Put in Blender and add dry milk. Blend until smooth. Makes 14 oz. equal to 1 can.

Pizza Puffs of Paradise Recipe
Ingredients:
1-1/4 cups water
1/3 cup shortening
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
4 eggs
3/4 cup finely chopped pepperoni (3 oz.)
3/4 cup finely shredded Romano or Parmesan cheese (3 oz.)
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 jar pizza sauce
Preparation:
Grease 2 large baking sheets and set aside. In a large saucepan combine water and shortening. Bring to a boil. Add flour all at once, stirring vigorously. Cook and stir until mixture forms a ball. Remove from heat. Cool for 10 minutes. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in pepperoni, cheese, parsley, garlic powder, and pepper.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart onto prepared baking sheets. Bake at 450°F for 15 to 17 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve with pizza sauce for dipping

INGREDIENT
1 can flakes spicy tuna in olive oil (with oil)
350g plain flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp whole fennel seeds
2 stalks fresh curry leaves, finely sliced
Extra flour for dusting
Oil for deep frying
METHOD
1. Prepare the dough by mixing all the dry ingredients. Add in tuna and olive oil. Mix into a dough, wrap it in cling film and let it rest for 10 min.
2. Heat enough oil in a wok for deep frying. Roll out the dough as thin as possible and cut into desired ships - strips, squares etc.

Boston Cream Pie (Granny's Favorites Cookbooks)
Boston Cream Pie
Butter Cake:
1 ¾ cups cake flour, see substitute below
½ tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup butter
1/3 tsp vanilla
1 cup sugar
2 egg, separated
1/2 cup milk, divided
Butter two 7 or 8 inch layer pans or 12 muffin tins. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Sift together cake flour, salt and baking powder, set aside. Cream butter thoroughly then add vanilla. Beat in sugar gradually; beat until fluffy. Beat in egg yolks.
Stir in ½ cup flour mixture. Stir in ¼ cup milk; add ½ cup flour mixture and ¼ cup milk; add remaining flour; beat well.
Beat egg whites until stands up in soft peaks; fold into batter. Spoon batter into prepared cake pans or muffin tins.
Bake 20 to 30 minutes. Remove from oven; cool completely.
Cake Flour Substitute: For every cup of cake flour use ¾ cup all purpose flour plus 2 Tbsp cornstarch.
Put cake layers together with Rich Cream Filling, see below.
Dust cake top with confectioners’ sugar or spread with Chocolate Frosting, see below.
Rich Cream Filling:
½ cup sugar
3 Tbsp flour or 1 Tbsp cornstarch
Small pinch salt
3/4 cup milk
1 egg or 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
Add flavoring, see variations below
¼ cup heavy cream
In small heavy sauce pan put sugar, flour and salt; stir in milk. Cook and stir over low heat until mixture thickens, about 5 minutes or so. Add slightly beaten egg; cook and stir 3 minutes longer. Add flavoring, see variations below; let cool. Beat heavy cream until stiff; fold into cooled filling; chill. Put cake layers together with Rich Cream Filling.
Rich Cream Filling Flavoring variations:
Banana Cream Filling: Add 1 cup mashed banana pulp that has been forced through strainer and 2 Tbsp lemon juice.
Caramel Cream Filling: Use 1/2 cup flour added to 1/3 cup caramel syrup
Chocolate Cream Filling: Increase sugar to 1 cup. Heat milk with 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate. Add splash vanilla with heavy cream.
Coffee Cream Filling: Flavor to taste with instant coffee granules.
Chocolate Frosting:
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate

2 cups confectioners’ sugar
½ tsp vanilla

KUALA LUMPUR: Rakyat Malaysia diminta berwaspada terhadap tanda-tanda awal 'heat stroke' atau 'strok haba' berikutan cuaca panas dan kering ketika ini.
Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah memberitahu Bernama, definisi strok haba adalah paras suhu badan meningkat melebihi 40.5 darjah celcius. Suhu normal badan manusia kira-kira 37.0 darjah celcius.
"Antara tanda awal terkena strok haba ialah sakit kepala berdenyut, mual, kurang berpeluh walaupun dalam suhu panas dan denyutan nadi yang pantas.
"Tanda-tanda lain ialah otot lemah dan kejang, muntah, kulit kering dan kemerahan, sawan serta pitam," katanya.
Dr Noor Hisham berkata suhu tinggi juga mengundang komplikasi kepada sistem saraf otak yang boleh menyebabkan seseorang itu koma dan boleh membawa kematian.
Jabatan Meteorologi Malaysia sebelum ini menyatakan keadaan cuaca panas dan kering melanda negara ketika ini agak tinggi berbanding tempoh sama tahun lepas dan dijangka berterusan sehingga pertengahan Mac ini.
Dr Noor Hisham berkata pendedahan berpanjangan kepada cuaca dan suhu panas disamping kurang minum air dan dehidrasi badan antara punca boleh menyebabkan strok haba.
Oleh itu beliau menyarankan beberapa langkah segera untuk diambil sekiranya ada individu terkena strok haba iaitu menempatkan pesakit di tempat teduh dan berhawa dingin.
"Haba tinggi boleh dikurangkan jika individu itu ditempatkan di bawah kipas dan mengelap anggota badan menggunakan tuala basah.
"Pesakit juga mungkin boleh berendam di dalam kolam air untuk menurunkan tekanan haba dan menyejukkan badan," katanya.
Dr Noor Hisham turut meminta orang ramai mengelakkan aktiviti riadah yang terdedah kepada cuaca panas serta minum air dalam kuantiti banyak atau sekurang-kurangnya 2.5 liter sehari. – Bernama
